Art for Youth North 2021
I’ve been out of the studio for a while, enjoying all the highs and lows of a new baby again, but I couldn’t miss Art for Youth North . It’s a wonderful exhibition in aid of the charity UK Youth, which runs services empowering young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to build a brighter future for themselves. The exhibition is held at Queen Mary’s School in Topcliffe, and features a huge range of talented artists, from Yorkshire and further afield. The exhibition opens with an evening reception (tickets required) on Tuesday the 26th, and then is open on the following days:
Wednesday 27th October – Open Day – Free 10.00am – 3.00pm
Thursday 28th October – Open Day – Free 10.00am – 3.00pm
Open Evening (New for 2021) – Free 5.00pm- 9.00pm
Friday 29th October – Open Day – Free 10.00am – 3.00pm
Saturday 30th October – Open Day – Free 10.00am – 3.00pm
I’ve been keeping this original ‘Last Light, Ilkley Moor’ quiet for a while, but this is the perfect time for the painting to have its debut. It will be rubbing shoulders with ‘View from Sutton Bank’ and ‘Gormire Lake, from Sutton Bank’ which all feature sublime Yorkshire sunsets.
